San Miguel de Allende does not have its own airport. If you are planning on flying to San Miguel de Allende, your airport choices in order of proximity are Queretaro (QRO), Leon (BJX), or Mexico City (MEX).
So, how do you get from the airport you’re are flying into to the city of San Miguel de Allende? You have two options, you can take a very convenient airport shuttle, or you can take public transport.

There are several shuttle services that will pick you up from arrivals at any of the three airports and take you directly to your hotel or house in SMA. If you have a late night arrival, they will also pick you up at your airport hotel upon request.

Bajiogo is another transport company that offers a reasonable per person shared-shuttle rate. If you have a small family and don’t mind sharing the car with others, this may be a cheaper way to get to San Miguel. They also offer cheaper rates based on the number of people traveling.
