Réka Kaponay was 12 years of age when she was inspired by a trip to Andalusia, Spain to write what would become her first full-length fantasy adventure fiction novel: Dawn of the Guardian.
Now, Réka is a 17-year-old passionate writer, storyteller and inspirational speaker, who turned her dream of becoming a professional writer into reality at 14, and became one of the world’s youngest published authors.
A custodian of stories, Réka is a devoted advocate of life-long, inspiration led learning, and believes in the transformative effects of long-term, socially conscious, slow-travel.
She shares the narrative of her family’s adventures—throughout the 44+ countries, they have traveled to together—online at her blog: Dreamtime Traveler.
When not writing, traveling with her family, or presenting, Réka relishes the opportunity to read, swim in the ocean, hike and connect with nature and her friends throughout the world. She is currently also a Producer on the upcoming documentary film, Into The Wind, a film which explores the transformational life choices a growing number of families are embracing through long-term family travel.
