Volunteer Positions Available for 2019 Family Adventure Summit in Bali

Volunteering for the Family Adventure Summit takes many forms and you can be involved in lots of ways. The lions’ share of the work happens way before the event begins.

During the year, there are opportunities to support efforts as Volunteer Coordinator, Social Media Manager, and Administrative Support.

During Family Adventure Summit itself, the opportunities are quite varied and require varying levels of commitment and technical skill, from photography and event management to general FAS team assistants and children’s program facilitators.

In terms of general leader/volunteer qualities, we are looking for individuals who are positive, enthusiastic, helpful, creative, energetic, and like interacting with kids. Easy going, flexible, patient, and clear communicators are most welcome.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to contribute toward creating a fun and meaningful event for the hundreds of people who attend. It’s also an opportunity to gain new skills and work more closely with people toward an important cause.

Volunteer Coordinator:

The ideal Volunteer Coordinator candidate will have excellent administrative and personnel management skills. They will be responsible for screening and interviewing potential volunteers. This is a year-long position and requires regular meetings with the FAS team, as well as attendance at the 2019 conference.

Expected Hours: 48 total (four hours per month on average)

Social Media Coordinator:

The ideal Social Media Coordinator has experience in successfully managing the media accounts of a company or non-profit and is capable of creating and managing promotional campaigns that both grow traffic and followers as well as convert. This is a year-round position and requires regular meetings with the FAS Team.

Online Communications Coordinator:

The Online Communications Coordinator is responsible for keeping our attendees updated on the happenings of the event through email and social media, curating photos to share, reminding people of announcements and schedules, and keeping the energy positive and exciting.

On the Ground Activity Coordinator:

The On the Ground Activity Coordinator is the person responsible for the activities and outings associated with Family Adventure Summit, on location in Ubud, Bali. This person needs to live in Bali or be very familiar with Ubud and have excellent connections. This person needs to be willing to come to Bali at least 30 days before the summit and be present throughout the event.

Expected Hours: 40 total

Time Frame: 3 months pre-conference

Photographer / Videographer:

The ideal FAS Photographer would be a person with professional or semi-professional skills who owns their own equipment and is willing to work flexible hours throughout the event. Covering not only the official event, but the atmosphere, after hours, and pre and post-event festivities.

Children’s Program Facilitator:

We are looking for skilled Children’s Program Facilitators who can lead groups of up to thirty children in areas such as theater, art, music, technology, sports, dance, and creativity. Upon acceptance, you must be willing to provide us with a background check within 30 days.

Compensation: $200 off your ticket to 2019 Family Adventure Summit

FAS Team Assistant:

We are looking for a number of FAS Team Assistants who will attend the summit and are willing to lend a hand doing what is needed during the event. Everything from moving chairs, to tidying up, to running errands and getting food for the speakers and organizers to keep them going. No special skills are required, just a cheerful attitude and a willingness to support!

Registration Attendant:

The ideal Registration Attendant is an outgoing, welcoming personality who loves sharing information and helping people get settled. You will be responsible for registering attendees, handing out name tags and welcome packets, as well as answering numerous questions about the event. You will be the first face of FAS on the ground for new attendees.
