The Family Adventure Summit is a conference for adventurous families who are interested in long-term traveling and location independence, and will be held in the Fall, 2017.
Thanks for Sharing Your Thoughts
We’re really excited for this event and are working hard to make it an incredible experience for everyone. Thank you for the great feedback you gave us on our survey.
We’ve had around 250 families respond so far, and we’re trying to incorporate many of the ideas so that you’ll come away inspired, empowered, and connected to new friends in a supportive community.
Whether you want more time to connect with your kids, more freedom in how and where you live and work, or more support from new friends who’ve traveled your path, we hope you’ll find it and more at FAS 2017.
The Great Venue Search
This month we’ve been doing a lot of research into potential locations and venues, including some you suggested in the survey. We plan to send out another survey soon (much shorter than the last one!) with more specific venue and date options, to help us make our final decision.
Schedule and Format
Many of you asked about the size of the conference. To keep it manageable and more intimate, we’re planning for a smaller conference of around 200 people (roughly 50 families), although we may potentially expand in future years.
Of course, we’re still very much in the beginning stages of planning, but we’d like to have a combination of mainstage events in TED-talk format, along with interactive workshops, group discussions, community-led meetups (i.e. you can organize a gathering), and plenty of fun activities and games for kids and adults.
Our Growing Team
We’re also slowly building our team. It takes a LOT of effort to put on events like this, and we really appreciate all our volunteers and their valuable contributions to help both shape and run the event.
We’ll be introducing the team to you in future emails. In the meantime, if you’re interested in volunteering or joining our team, please get it touch. Let us know what skills you have and what you’re interested in helping with, and we’ll see how we can work together to make this a life-changing event for all involved.
Share the Adventure
If you know other awesome families who would be interested in the Family Adventure Summit, please be sure to pass the word along to them.
Remember to connect with us on social media so we can better stay in touch with you and help grow this community of traveling families. Click your favorite networks below and give us a like or follow. We also plan to highlight stories and content from families in our community so we can all get to know each other before the event.
And finally, if you have any thoughts or questions about the Family Adventure Summit, feel free to write us anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you and happy adventuring!
