We are planning an amazing program for kids of all ages! The conference will be jam-packed full of fun for the children while the parents attend workshops. Workshops, educational classes, and fun and engaging activities will be available for the kids to choose from throughout the conference.
We have an amazing artist, Spramani Elaun who will be holding an Open Art space for kids (and adults) to come in and do self-directed art projects through the day. Spramani will also be sharing her artistic knowledge as a leader in the Choose Your Own Adventure Art Progam.
Our children’s coordinator, Theresa Bovenzi, will be incorporating fun activities for the 5 and over crowd both indoors and out. . Children can expect to be thoroughly engaged with a wide range of activities. All children’s activities will be taking place on the beautiful grounds at Hotel Real de Minas.
Our hope is that every child will find something that resonates with them and that this weekend will be filled with fun, learning, adventure, and new friends!
The Children’s Program at Family Adventure Summit will be split into 2 parts: Full Group Activities and Adventure Crew Time. The Adventure Crew Time is an opportunity for the children to split into smaller, interest-based groups. These groups will meet each day for approximately 2 hours and be the same group of children each day- enabling the crew to work on multi-day projects.
The 2 to 4 year-old crowd will be playing with their very own facilitator, Rebecca Bernard, who will be creating a program of fun activities to keep our youngest attendees busy and happy while parents are enjoying the conference.
If you would like you 5 year old to join the Little’s program, just let us know! Some 5-year-olds aren’t quite ready for the Children’s Program and could use a little extra attention. In the Little’s Program, there is a higher ratio of adult caretakers to children participants (1:3-4), and fewer overall child participants than the larger, FAS Children’s Program.
Activities in the Little’s Program are being planned to be age appropriate- so don’t worry! It will still be engaging for your 5-year-old. But you can be rest assured that your 5-year-old will have that extra little bit of attention that he/she needs to thrive.
Children under two years old are required to remain with their parents.
Activities are scheduled whenever the adults are in their sessions so parents can enjoy the workshops and discussions while the children are engaged in their own fun programming. There will be extra long lunches scheduled each day so families can do their own exploring over the lunch break.
